The quality of digital printing is improving all of the time and this method of printing can now be competitively priced against offset litho up to 1500 copies when printing in mono. There are also a good range of papers also available for this method of printing. So whether the book has just text in or has photographs and tonal images digital printing can now produce work of the highest standard.
Printing a book by offset litho still allows for many other options including a greater variation in the size of the book produced, the many different papers that there are available and the longer print runs that are required so that the unit price of the book can be kept down.
